html - css box hiding elements

I have a roulette animation running on my page and I don't need it to be as big as it is right now, I need to hide the sides with as I guess another object, and I'm too new to css and html to understand how to make it so a box object would have a cutout with a shadow inside, if anyone needs more info comment on this question.
