eclipse - Debug multiple android applications simultaneously on one device

Im trying to run two eclipse instances with separate workspaces and separate applications on the same device at the same time but im getting port conflicts as you can only setup one debug port within the DDMS properties. Even just having both workspaces open seems to cause havoc with ADB. Is there a way to do this?
