I am supposed to print product of two numbers recursively. this is my code :

    #include<stdio.h>
int prod(int num1,int num2)
{
    if(num2=0)
    return num1;
    prod(num1+num1,num2-1);
}
int main()
{
    int n1,n2;
    printf("Enter two numbers to find their product:
");
    scanf("%d" ,&n1);
    scanf("%d" ,&n2);
    printf("Product of %d and %d is %d",n1,n2,prod(n1,n2));
    return 0;

Two problems:

  • You need a compare, not an assign operator.
  • You need to return the recursive call.

See below:

int prod(int num1,int num2)
{
    if(num2 == 0)
        return num1;
    return prod(num1+num1,num2-1);
}
