wordpress - Manually import database

Question

I am working on a Wordpress site locally. After my XAMPP installation didn't work anymore, I just copied the database folder to back it up (myphpadmin didn't work either, so I couldn't backup/export the database in a conventional way). Now I reinstalled XAMPP and Wordpress and want to integrate the copied database folder. I pasted it into the folder xampp>mysql>data and of course it doesn't work. I read that the database must be registered in some kind of way to work properly. I am a beginner. Thanks for helping out!
